Ward 5 Neighborhood Planning Assembly Meeting

Introduction and Ground Rules - 5 min
We will start at 7pm SHARP. Please note that we will adhere closely to all time limits. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

Open Forum - 10 min
Open discussion on what "neighbors" are looking for from the NPA in the coming year. What are your concerns and what topics should the NPA discuss? Please limit yourself to 2 minutes per person.

Community Development Block Grant proposals (CDBG) - 45 min
Federal funding is available for anti-poverty projects around the City. Learn what projects are proposed and vote on the prioritization of projects and funding.
a) presentation of proposals ( 2-5 possible proposals)
b) discussion of previous NPA resolution regarding parks (see below for wording) and how it relates to the proposals
c) voting on proposals, with allocation of funding
d) electing Ward 5 representatives for the CDBG review board

Moran Plant update - 10 minute presentation with 15 minutes for Q&A - 25 min
Learn about the current status of the renovation process and the process of finding a third tenant for the building.

School board update - 5 minute presentation with 15 minute Q&A - 20 min
Learn about the school budget discussions and an update on the magnet schools program.

City Council Update - 10 min
What are the major discussions under consideration at City Council.
